2014 San Diego River Run
Join Lakeside's River Park Conservancy for the 7th Annual "San Diego River Run" 5k Run & Walk & Bike Rally* on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 8am. This family-friendly race highlights a different part of the San Diego River Trail each year.
*This is an untimed bike rally to allow mountain bikers to enjoy the trail.
This year's course will begin at Santee's Town Center Community Park (550 Park Center Dr, Santee, CA 92071) and run through RCP Block and Brick towards Lakeside's Ball Fields and back.
The course showcases the diversity of the trails along the San Diego River Trail and also highlights Santee's recreational amenities. The course is a smooth run with no tripping hazards that is kind to knees and feet.
Restore the River
This event is a fundraiser for Lakeside's River Park Conservancy (LRPC). We hope to raise $25,000 which will help us get closer to our overall goal of being part of the 52-mile San Diego River Trail that will one day run from the mountains of Julian to the sea at Ocean Beach.
Each paid entry includes a t-shirt, refreshments, and the chance to enjoy SanTree Fest right after the race! Dogs on leashes are welcome.
This year we will also be having a Beer Garden hosted by BNS Brewing & Distilling. Each runner over 21 years old with proper identification will get a free beer.
