Join us next year for another fun event.

Here is the information from the 2012 event:

Welcome

Join Lakeside's River Park Conservancy for the 5th Annual "San Diego River Run" 5k Run & Walk on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 8am. This family-friendly race highlights a different San Diego River Trail each year.

The Course

The 2012 course is a beautiful route that showcases the diversity of the San Diego River and highlights Santee's recreational amenities. The event starts at Town Center Community Park East (TCCPE) in Santee. The course winds around TCCPE, then heads east onto a trail to access Cottonwood Dr/Chubb Ln, connects to trails (beautiful open-space along the San Diego River) and returns to TCCPE via Chubb and a trail that connects back to the lot.

The course will be well-marked and there will be course monitors to direct you. Click here to preview the course, but please note that the course is subject to change.

Restore the River

This event is a fundraiser for Lakeside's River Park Conservancy (LRPC). We hope to raise $25,000 which will help us get closer to our overall goal of being part of the 52-mile San Diego River Trail that will one day run from the mountains of Julian to the sea at Ocean Beach.

Event Features

Each paid entry includes a great t-shirt, chip-timed results (new for 2012), post-race refreshments (water/oranges/bananas, Clif Builder Bars) and tons of fun! Join us for our expo which features vendor booths, music, kids arts & crafts and more. Be sure to pre-purchase a delicious breakfast burrito for a $5 donation!
